Labor Day Barbeque Recipe: Grilled Chicken

This recipe has been passed down from my grandmother to my mother to me. CHICKEN INGREDIENTS: 4 to 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 1 tbsp butter, sprinkle of salt & pepper. BBQ SAUCE INGREDIENTS: 1 cup ketchup, 1 stick of butter, ¼ cup water, 2 tbsp vinegar, ¼ cup lemon juice, 3 to 4 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp salt, & 1/8 tsp mustard powder. STEP 1: Mix BBQ Sauce ingredients together in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Keep hot for basting. STEP 2: Wash chicken and place on microwave-safe plate. Melt small amt. of butter, salt & pepper for 30 seconds in microwave. Baste tops of chicken breasts. Microwave chicken for 4 minutes. STEP 4: Drain off extra butter. Baste tops of chicken with BBQ sauce. Place basted-side down on grill. Baste tops of chicken. STEP 5: Grill for 3 minutes on each side.
